Mythology Summary

Rhea is the Titaness who saves Zeus from being swallowed by giving Kronos a stone in his place, and so ends the old order. She is the great mother of the Olympians and the flow of things, and her Roman name is Ops.

Modern Practice

Rhea is called on for the protection of children, for safe birth, and for the courage to hide something until it can grow. Her practice is maternal and secretive, as the myth requires.
