The earlier version is no longer offered as a public download. It is still kept for anyone already on it — contact us and we will send it over. New installs should use the version above.

Install guide

Each beta build needs one manual step.

The apps are not distributed through official stores yet, so the first launch is blocked by your own machine rather than by anything wrong with the download. It is the same idea on all three platforms: tell the system you meant it. Here is exactly what to do.

macOS

  1. Download EnsoulVessel.dmg and open it.
  2. Drag Ensoul Vessel into your Applications folder.
  3. On first launch macOS blocks the app with a security warning, because it is not from an identified developer.
  4. Right-click (or Control-click) Ensoul Vessel in Applications → Open → Open in the dialog.
  5. Or: System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, click Open Anyway.
  6. Once only. After the first approved launch it opens normally.

Windows

  1. Download EnsoulVessel-Setup.exe and run it.
  2. SmartScreen may show a blue warning: “Windows protected your PC”.
  3. Click More info, then Run anyway.
  4. The installer runs normally from there. Ensoul Vessel appears in your Start menu when it finishes.

Android

  1. Download EnsoulVessel.apk from this page — and only from this page.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android will prompt “Install unknown apps”.
  3. Tap Settings in that prompt and allow it for the browser or Files app you downloaded with.
  4. Go back and tap Install.
  5. You can turn “install unknown apps” off again afterwards; it only affects future installs.
  6. On Samsung, Xiaomi and others the path differs slightly — look under Security for Install unknown apps.
