Install guide

Each beta build requires a brief manual step because the apps aren't distributed through official stores yet. This is normal — here's exactly what to do on each platform.

⌘ macOS
  1. Download Ensoul.dmg and open it.
  2. Drag Ensoul into your Applications folder.
  3. On first launch, macOS will block the app with a security warning ("cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer").
  4. Right-click (or Control-click) Ensoul in Applications → click Open → click Open in the dialog.
  5. Alternatively: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway.
  6. You only need to do this once. After the first approved launch it opens normally.
⊞ Windows
  1. Download Ensoul-Setup.exe and run it.
  2. Windows SmartScreen may show a blue warning: "Windows protected your PC".
  3. Click More info → then click Run anyway.
  4. The installer runs normally from there. Ensoul appears in your Start menu when done.
⬟ Android
  1. Download ensoul-beta.apk from this page. Download only from this page — don't install APKs from other sources.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android will show a prompt: "Install unknown apps" or similar.
  3. Tap Settings in that prompt and enable Allow from this source for your browser or Files app.
  4. Go back and tap Install.
  5. You can disable "install unknown apps" again after installing — it only affects future installs, not the already-installed app.
  6. On some devices (Samsung, Xiaomi, etc.) the setting path may differ slightly — look for Install unknown apps or Unknown sources in Security settings.
