Mythology Summary

Ouranos is the Greek primordial sky, both the father and the ceiling of the first generation, who is castrated by his son Kronos at Gaia's urging. He is order in its oldest form: vast, generative and unable to survive its own children.

Modern Practice

Ouranos is worked with for the starry frame, for the first principles of a thing, and at the winter solstice. His practice is contemplative rather than petitionary; what he offers is scale.
