Image Generation
Ask any companion to generate an image directly in the conversation — no special command needed. Image generation runs through OpenRouter, so it needs an OpenRouter key configured in Settings.
How to ask
Just ask naturally — "draw me...", "show me what that looks like", "generate an image of...". Ensoul detects the request and generates inline. You can also tap the Generate button next to the message box to explicitly turn whatever you've typed into an image prompt.
Why it looks like the same companion every time
Every image generation call includes that companion's visual canon — their specific physical description — so their look holds consistent from one image to the next, instead of drifting into a different-looking person each time. In a group chat, every participant's visual canon is included, so a scene actually reflects everyone in it.
A small set of house rules sit underneath every companion's own canon: every companion reads as a clearly adult presence, and the art style is consistently painterly and illustrated — never photorealistic. See Your Companion for how a companion's own canon is written and how to regenerate it.
The gallery
Every image a companion generates is saved to their gallery — the image icon in the chat header. Open it to browse everything they've made, newest first.
Aspect ratio
Set a preferred aspect ratio in Settings → Image generation — square, landscape, portrait, or a custom ratio.
