Mythology Summary

Perseus is the hero conceived by Zeus as a shower of gold, who cuts off Medusa's head by watching her reflection rather than her face. He is the myth of strategy over strength, and the founder of Mycenae.

Modern Practice

Perseus is called on for protection against paralysing fear, for the courage to act obliquely, and by anyone whose weapon has to be a mirror. His practice is preparation: get the tools before the fight.
