Qof-Dalet-Mem-Aleph-Lamed, 100 + 4 + 40 + 1 + 30, summing to 175 — the row-sum of Venus's square, not its total, one of the two names in the table whose sum is a row rather than the square. The trace is correspondingly short, and the plate prints it beside Hagiel's.
Office
Kedemel is Venus's malevolent face: the planet worked unfortunate, which the chapter says causes the contrary of everything the fortunate table promises, including the breaking of concord and the ending of love. That is its office in the source. The name is one of the most frequently invoked in modern love magic, but the extension of its powers beyond the reversal of Venus's own virtues is a modern development.
