Virtues in the received tables, Elohim in Agrippa's scale of ten — the choir of Venus, shared with Hagiel; the Bne Seraphim are a second intelligence of the same sphere rather than a second choir.
Bet-Nun-Yod Shin-Resh-Pe-Yod-Mem, 2 + 50 + 10 + 300 + 200 + 80 + 10 + 600, which comes to 1252 — and Venus's square totals 1225. The two numbers are transposed in both the Latin and the English editions of the chapter, and the name is the one printed at the sum of 1252, which suggests the sigil was drawn on the mistaken belief that the square totalled it. The plate prints it under a caption in the plural, 'Of the Intelligences of Venus', the only place in the set where the plural is used.
Agrippa gives the Bne Seraphim no office at all: they appear in the table as the plural intelligences of the sphere, with a sum and a character, and nothing is said of what they do. Since they share Venus's sphere, what can be said of them is what Venus does — but the text stops at the name, and the later identification of them with a choir of fiery serpent-angels or with the 'sons of flame' of the sephirothic literature is a reading of the name, not a statement of the chapter.
