Traditional practice is exact or nearly so: Lilly uses antiscia that fall on a planet or cusp and works with a few degrees at most. Modern practice allows 1-2 degrees.

Meaning

A relationship of mirroring, not of angle: the antiscion of a degree is its counterpart at an equal distance on the other side of the solstitial axis (0 Cancer to 0 Capricorn). Two bodies linked this way are not aspecting each other, and the relationship is read as a sympathy in the background of the chart, a link that acts without being visible as an aspect. Firmicus judges such contacts as though they were the aspect they fall into: an antiscion falling on the trine of a planet acts as a trine.
