Mythology Summary
Vör is one of the Ásynjur, 'so wise and searching that nothing can be concealed from her', and Gylfaginning 36 says that a woman becomes vör — aware, wary — of what she comes to know. The name is the ordinary Norse word for being aware, and it is also used as a poetic word for woman. She has no story, no cult and no role except as the personification of knowing.
Modern Practice
Vör is called when self-deception is the problem: the practice is to write down what you actually know, say it aloud once, and stop managing the answer. She gives clarity rather than comfort.
