Meaning

Shaddai is the name on the mezuzah and the name the tradition reads as 'the one who says enough' (she-dai) to creation — the limit that makes a world rather than an overflow. Its 314 is the twin of Metatron's 314, which is one of the strongest gematriot the tradition has: the name on the doorpost and the name of the angel before the throne are the same number. The Hermetic Qabalah places the compound Shaddai El Chai at Yesod, the foundation.
