A sign dasha of the Jaimini school, read for the body and for wealth and for the succession of conditions in a life; it is the Jaimini dasha most used when the question is what a house will do rather than what a planet will do.
Meaning
Narayana gives the periods to the twelve signs, in the order and with the durations the Jaimini rules assign, and reads each period from the house the sign occupies and from the padas of the signs. The name is Vishnu's, and the system is used for the same class of questions as the chara dasha with a different computation.
