The character of the planet as such, drawn from the divine names over the numbers of the eight-by-eight square and printed in the plate between the characters of Tiriel and of Taphthartharath. It is drawn from the divine names over the square and not from any of the names under it, so it is not a variant of Tiriel's character and must not be copied as one.
Office
Engraved on silver, tin or yellow brass with Mercury fortunate, or written on virgin parchment, the seal is held to make the bearer grateful and fortunate in doing what he pleases, to bring gain and prevent poverty, and to conduce to memory, understanding and divination, including the understanding of occult things in dreams. With Mercury unfortunate it does the contrary. The parchment alternative is Agrippa's own and is one of the few instructions in the chapter that does not require a metal at all.
