Meaning
In the Vimshottari cycle the Guru period runs for 16 years and colours everything that happens in it, whatever the birth chart promises otherwise. Its fruit is taken from the graha's own condition: its house, its sign, its dignity, its aspects and the yogas it forms, so that the same period is kind in one chart and hard in another.
