The eleventh bhava is gains, income, friends and the fulfilment of desires. It is an upachaya house, and the classical rule is that its lord, like the lords of the 3rd and 6th, is functionally a malefic for the native even when naturally benefic - the 11th gives what one wants, not what one needs.
