Meaning
The traditional reading of aspects by what they do rather than by their shape. Sextile and trine are good, square and opposition are hard, and the conjunction is mixed because it takes its nature from the bodies in it. The nature belongs to the planets before it belongs to the aspect: a trine of Saturn is still Saturn, and the judgement is not that the trine is good but that the two bodies are able to act together.
