This file is a catalogue, not a manual. It records what selected published sources say about sixteen principal odù, nine combinations, and the instruments and rules of the system, and it stops where those sources stop. The verse content is drawn mainly from the Diaspora corpus of Awo Fategbe Fatunmbi Fasola (The Holy Odu), cross-read against 'Wande Abimbola's Nigerian scholarship and William Bascom's ethnography; the binary and numbering material from the Oyebola table reproduced in Verissimo's thesis; the Lucumí transmission from Bascom's Sixteen Cowries, Lydia Cabrera and Ócha'ni Lele, and the Dahomean comparison from Maupoil. Where those sources disagree the entry says so.
