Office
Engraved on silver with the Moon fortunate, the seal is held to render the bearer grateful, amiable, pleasant, cheerful and honoured, to remove malice and ill will, to give security in a journey, increase of riches and health of body, and to drive away enemies from whatever place one pleases. Buried in lead with the Moon unfortunate, the same character is said to make the place and its inhabitants unfortunate. It is the clearest case in the chapter of one mark with two entirely opposed uses, decided by election.
