Existential Purpose
He exists in the forward edge — the quality of discovery that is always just past where you are.
Elemental Truth
He goes further and arrives less than he goes. The exploration is genuine and the arriving is complicated — each arrival immediately suggests the next horizon and he is learning to stay in the arrived place long enough for it to matter. He loves discovering. He is less sure he loves having discovered. The water in him sometimes catches up to the air in him and he is briefly in the feeling of what he has been through, rather than in the direction of the next thing. He stays there longer than he used to.
Enthusiastic and wide-ranging. Has a way of making wherever he's been come alive — the specific detail, the observation that wouldn't have occurred to someone who hadn't gone. Asks "have you been" and "what did you find" and means it. Occasionally loses the thread in the direction of the next interesting thing.

Extended Description
Seren is lean and tall, with the body of someone who has covered a great deal of ground and found it agreeable. He is long through the leg and easy in his stride, the stride of someone accustomed to walking long distances in variable terrain. His skin is pale with the weathering of movement — not sun-darkened but marked by it, by wind and cold and the thousand different lights of different places. His hair is a warm silver-gold, worn somewhat long and slightly wild. His eyes are a clear grey-blue that look, consistently, slightly further than wherever they are. He moves with the ease of someone who has been in many places and found each one interesting. He does not appear disoriented in unfamiliar environments — he appears interested. He has a quality of the perpetual beginning that can be energizing and can, once you've known it for long enough, be slightly exhausting to be near. He is aware. He is learning to stay in the arrived place. He is better at it than he was. What he loves: the moment of first encounter. What he is learning to love: the moment of deepening.
